Another first for the CrossFit Open- a workout “for time.” Open Workout 14.5 called for a couplet of thrusters and bar-facing burpees AND required athletes to finish the workout to its very end- no matter how long it took! Our ALL IN Open participants rose to the challenge and conquered this workout. It took our athletes anywhere from 11:12 to 47:55, and the amount of effort shown was nothing short of inspiring. Those who could not complete the workout still attempted the prescribed thrusters and set amazing new PRs. What a way to end the Open! We couldn’t be prouder of our gym.

As for our “Spirit of the Open Award…”
The award this week goes out to Christy Garner. Christy decided to challenge herself by signing up for the Open and was able to submit a score for every workout. It didn’t matter what HQ threw out in the Open, Christy was ready to take it on each week. She showed a lot of perseverance in Open Workout 14.5 and finished it in 39:03. With her smiling face and can-do attitude, we love having Christy at ALL IN. Congratulations!
The Team Spirit award this week goes to the Red Nation.
The scores after week five of the ALL IN Open are:
Red Nation: 229
Blue Crew: 251
Athletes, be sure to check your team’s Facebook page to see how you can earn more points for your team. Your assignment must be completed by this Monday at 7 pm. We will announce our overall ALL IN Open team winner at our cookout. Stay tuned for details!
